Autumn Winter 2017

For the Autumn/Winter 17 Collection, Alexander White explores Tibet and the region’s costumes. Following a recent trip to Hong Kong and Japan, Alexander found inspiration in traditional, folk clothing and continued to research the theme – heavy ornamentation, beautiful embroidery and belts were some of the details he became fascinated with. As a result, the latest AW17 collection features a subtle nod to Asian culture, featuring knots and bows along with the designer’s signature ruffle. The season incorporates embroidery that was developed from a pair of traditional children’s boots bought in Hong Kong, and features deep burgundies and darker colourways in rich textures including velvet and suede.
